Abstract: 


Translators are not made overnight because it is one of the hardest task to change in all safety and faithfully from a language to antoher. It is a fact that bilinguism is a necessary condition to the occupation of translation, but it is not sufficient since the translation process does not rely only on the linguistic skills of the translators. Today, a successful career in translation also requires a translation skill which consists in linguistic skill, textual skill, disciplinary skill, cultural skill and transfer skill which covers strategies and procedures which enables texts to be translated quickly and effectively. The development of automatic translation tools and computer assisted translation impacts not only the environment of professionnal translators, but also the fields of education and learning. With the growing use of IT tools, researchers have widen the skills model to several components to include new abilities and skills required in the field of translation course that is the digital skill. It is essential that the translation researcher is not satisfied with their knowledge in translation technology and its use as it is, they are also encouraged to interact with existing technologies and to improve more and more their performances by in-depth study and innovation in the translation field thanks to IT tools.
