Gonzalo Yanes Quiroga
Gonza Yaqui is a traveller across speech, place and sound: writing, song, performance, translation and teaching. It is impossible to pin them down, such is the extent to which movement and esthesis govern their poetics: don’t be surprised (or maybe do) to find them hanging upside down vituperating about multi-sensory plurilingual flow!
Having been granted a doctoral contract at Paris 8 University, they taught Comparative Literature and ran a large number ofworkshops on gender equality, consent, writing and translation.
Laureate of the Edouard Glissant bursary, participant in a wide variety of meet-ups, festivals, conferences, lectures, performances, etc., mainly in Paris, New York, Santiago, Valparaiso, Casablanca, Hamilton, Lagrasse, Montpellier, Madrid, Barcelona and Buenos Aires. Has published poems and articles in several co-authored books, journals, booklets, anthologies and online, as well as the following collections:
In extremis, Malmache Editions, Santiago, Chile
Imagina el vacio, Autonomes Editions, Paris
polimetros, Callejeras Editions, Paris
